Prepare for your Appointment
- Shave, wax, and exfoliate at least 24 hours before your appointment. Pay extra attention to dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.
- Avoid wearing lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup to your appointment, as these can create a barrier and affect the tan’s absorption.
- Wear loose, dark clothing and sandals to your appointment to avoid rubbing or smudging your fresh tan.
- Wait at least 8 hours before your first rinse (no soap—just a gentle water rinse).
- Avoid sweating, water, or skin-to-skin contact during the developing period.
- After your first rinse, pat skin dry and avoid rubbing with towels.
- Use a gentle, hydrating, sulfate-free body wash starting with your next shower.
- Moisturize daily with a fragrance-free lotion to extend the life of your tan.
- Avoid long, hot baths, chlorine, or exfoliating until you're ready for your tan to fade.
